One step Beyond… Christchurch

We awoke late at the RSA club and took a wander to the shopping centre to get a decent coffee. Amanda sat online for a while and I wandered through the centre to see what shops were around, stopping of to have a play with the EOS M in a camera shop.

After a late breakfast we headed back into Christchurch and to the Botanic gardens. We walked around them for about an hour before heading again into the centre and taking a wander around the outside of some of the Red Zone and ended up back at the container city. From here we headed back to the van and headed off to Photo Warehouse to look at a Canon 600D for Amanda as she had been having big light issues with her 400D and the complaining and time wasting [not her fault the camera’s] we found a price but not one that Amanda wanted to pay so we got in the van and headed for Ashburton to see the Bongard’s.

We arrived after around an hours drive in Ashburton. We meet Geoff, Anglia, Karen and her other half Tim, Greg was out. We had coffee and chatted and before long Greg turned up, he is living about 1km away in his own place. The rest of the evening was spent chatting and catching up, oh and entertaining the cat.
