Song and dance at the Opera House.

So I got up and sorted out the hangover around 11am zzzzzzzzzzz. I made lunch and got on the train to go up to Circular Quay and then wandered around the Opera house. I then went in got a Tour ticket and had around 45mins to play with until my tour, so I took a wander around the area some more. I then discovered Brian Cox was giving a lecture this evening but was sold out. I by chance then saw that Michael Palin is also giving a talk on Saturday evening and that there were tickets left so without hesitation jumped at the chance to get one, so Saturday I will be seeing a talk in Sydney Opera House 🙂

The tour started at 1pm and lasted an hour it was very informative and covered all of the halls. The talk was delivered by headset which connected to our guide. The inside of the opera house is amazing shapes and design mainly with concrete and wood, it a highly impressive structure and understandable why so many people love to come and see it.

I stopped for lunch after the tour and admired the view in the fantastic sunny weather. I decided I would take the ferry to Cockatoo Island as it went out under the harbour bridge. I took the ferry and decided to stay on it to return to Circular key as it gave some great chance to get photos of the main sites. Sure enough I got some great pictures.

After this I took the train back to the hostel, on the way stopped of and got some supplies for lunch later in the week. On arriving back I decided to check out the pool and by chance saw my room mate in the lift who was also going to check out the pool. Well the sauna is ok and the pool is more a splash pool.

I got sorted and went and cooked dinner, chicken and tinned veg, very much reminded me of French holidays were we always have tinned veg, not that there is anything wrong with that.

I looked at my watch 7.30pm and thought sod it should really upload some of my blog and photos, so grabbed laptop and camera bag headed for the train and went to the Opera House as they have free WiFi and I was up for seeing it all lit up at night. So here I am and its beautiful, even more so at night lit up. The CBD despite not liking it also looks stunning at night and the harbour bridge as well looks awesome.
