The free girl, the lads, the night!

So got up around 8:30 had a shower, breakfast and then tried to get some questions answered by reception, which pretty much they could help with. So I headed on to Town Hall Sq to check out the free guided tour of the city. On the way there were a few spots of rain and was starting to think I should have taken my coat and not a jump.

I got there and met Lisa who was stood there in a bright green t-shirt stating ‘I’m Free’ on the front so you can’t miss her. She gave me a map and explained it had lots of useful information on it, just as others started to turn up. In total we were around 30 people from all around the globe.  It started at Town Hall Sq and lasted around 3hrs. It led through Queen Victoria building, down market street, through the top of Hyde park, past the mint, hospital, NSW parliament house, down martin place, on to Australia Sq., through Macquarie place, on to Customs place. Customs place has a 3D model of the city you can stand on top of and look through the glass it’s quite impressive. The tour continues through The Rocks, past one of the oldest pubs in Sydney under the harbour bridge and finishing at the overseas passengers terminal. The guides make some cash through a basis of pay what you think the experience was worth.

So from here I went and got a MyMulti1 Weekly which will cover me on all buses, rail and ferry’s within Sydney for $43, the ferry to Manly is $14 return by its self so should help cover its self quickly. I started its use by taking the ferry from Circular Quay to Darling Harbour, very relaxing and some great views.

On arrival I had a look at the moored boats outside the National Maritime Museum before moving on and investigating when Skyfall came out in IMAX, sadly not till 22nd 🙁 from here I moved through Tumbalong park and past the Chinese gardens. From here I wandered back to the hostel and on to blogging.

Had dinner and chilled out for a bit then my German and Swedish room mate returned and we were chatting about having a beer. I suggested a free club around the corner from the hostel and we all went for a beer. Well that beer turned into many beers and a fun night listening to the live band. Well we all got back around 3am and all suffered hangovers the next day, was a cracking night though!
