Time to go Manly and see Palin.

Saturday

Today was a trip on the famous Manly ferry from Circular Key to funny enough Manly. Manly is just shops and a beach. So I walked the beach in the surf and then saw another beach just around the corner which looked more shelter than the main beach which had a strong wind coming in of the sea. So I walked around the corner and saw the dragon lizards some which were nearly a meter in length! I found some palm trees at the back of the beach and sat and wrote up some of my blog whilst just chilling in the shade. I then in try British style opened my bag and took out my pre-made sandwiches, Strawberry jam of course. After lunch I took a wander up the cliff face path and took some pictures back towards Manly beach. Was a windy day but still the sun was keeping it warm enough.

I then headed back to Manly beach waded along the front and then headed through the shops to the ferry port. I did stop at Mc D’s but only for an $0.80 ice cream and flake 🙂

The ferry back was quite ruff and had a very good roll on it as the wind was affecting the conditions in the mouth of the harbour.

On returning I headed back to the hostel and changed before going back to Circular key to see Michael Palin at the opera house. Well he was very funny to listen to and it was very interesting to get an understanding of how he got to where he is today. It was only an hour long but this was just about right. I got a quick picture afterwards and then headed back to the hostel for dinner.

After dinner I headed back to the Opera house and had a skype session with a couple of people. Both were very enjoyable and great to catch up with people even if one was on a quick catch up.
